1. AEC-TEA
 
The AEC-TEA is a locally based, volunteer-run association in Capim Grosso, Bahia, working to encourage participation in
volunteer work as a means to improve the quality of life of the community.
Within our center, we provide English and Spanish courses, as well as carry out arts activities and educational projects. We provide local and international volunteers with work placement in community projects, public institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGO'S).
We provide housing to international volunteers at our Volunteer House. We have partnership arrangements with institutions in Capim Grosso and other cities in a wide range of fields including: Education, Arts and Music, Health, Environmental issues, Child care, Food and Nutrition, Legal Aid, and Youth Development.

3. Legion of Good Will (Legiao da Boa Vontade)
Legion of Good-Will, LGW , is an educational institution, affiliated to UN. One of its goals is to light the fire of human and social solidarity inside the hearts, thus helping to build a world in which people can live in peace.
LGW was founded in 1950 by the journalist, broadcaster, writer and poet Alziro Zarur, and today it is leaded by Jos? de Paiva Netto, who is journalist, broadcaster, writer, poet and composer. LGW is an organization that does not aim monetary profits, but is ecumenical, and is devoted to work in conformity with the lemma: Education and Culture, Health and Work with Spirituality. With 552 sections of service in Brazil and branch offices in the USA, Portugal, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, it also mantains correspondents all over the world. It delegates support the poor families in the Communitary Centers, which provide medical, educational and emergency assistance, besides courses that can both teach to read and write and form professionals. It mantains the Charity Patrol, which supports those who live in the streets, trying to lead them to a better life. Legion of Good-Will involves the community in its campaigns that ennoble the life: in behalf of ecology, against drugs, abortion, death penalty, racism, violence in sports and traffic and so on. These campaigns are constantly promoted in order to make people ?mainly children and teenagers ? aware of the importance of living with health and solidarity.

We are a base located in the Sao Cristovao neighboorhod, in the slum of Tuiuti, Rio de Janeiro,Brazilof Youth with a Mission. We work with children and teenagers and adults, helping them with education, food services, health care, day care and teaching, handcrafts and informatics. We want to show people of the slum concrete love, giving them self-esteem and confidence and a new hope for the future.

12. Quixote Project
The Quixote Project aims to create pragmatic alternatives to everyday challenges in brazilian street children's lives; such as drug abuse, violence and lack of ties or positive role models. We assist children and teenagers, instruct professionals and develop research, as well as build a network of coordinated actions with other projects.Up now, more than 1500 children and teenagers have been assisted, almost 200 each month. The pediatric, psychiatric and psychological departments are closely related with the pedagogical and social service, as well as the legal assistance. More than 1100 professionals had been trained by Quixote's staff. In 1999, it was awarded the prestigious "Children Award 99" granted by the Abrinq Foundation.

we are in the initial phase of building a self-sufficient `eco-city?. The project is run by a yogi-monk who belongs to the spiritual organisation ananda marga. the aim is to involve the poor rural population- give them jobs, education, medical care and thereby a persective for their life in the countryside.
we are all very committed , but not very experieced people,so we are happy to receive people with knowledge of organic gardening, carpentry, construction and renovation...
We have regular meditation sessions and an interest and openness for spirituality is very important. Vegetarian food. No smoking. No drugs.
